Message | Though we understand the reasoning for this bill, we will not support it. Having government funding of any product only encourages distributors to charge more. Though the same thing occurs whenever the majority of the population has insurance, that is the choice of the populace rather than the government. Were this combined with the drug price cap bill it might be more effective, though were that to happen we would not support it as it would be government control of an industry. We suppose that this is yet another example of our party disliking a growing government. That does not, however, change our votes. |
