Message | There's oppressing minorities and there's allowing minorities to rule over the majority. We can't allow tiny cults to have the same status as religions followed by the vast majority of the population. |

Message | I agree that the current system of laws is too restricting on religion, but this proposed bill is too far in the opposite direction. There should be religious freedom without imposing it on others, even if one can claim that nobody is being "forced" to follow the official state religion or undergo prayer in school. |

Message | But what if the people want religions to have political say? |
Date | 14:57:21, April 05, 2008 CET | From | Democratic Marxist Party | To | Debating the Religion Bill |
Message | Religion will not have political say in this nation. |
Date | 23:03:53, April 05, 2008 CET | From | Christian Social Union | To | Debating the Religion Bill |
Message | Even if the people want it to have a say? That seems undemocratic to me. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
