Bill: OOC: Joséphine's Prince Consort

Details

Submitted by[?]: Front Canrillaise

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2559

Description[?]:

We have failed to identify Joséphine's husband, if she has any. By now, Joséphine is in her 40s and technically she should marry now or maybe even 10 years ago to secure heirs.

We could simply roleplay her marriage to a Rildanorian nobleman and then immediately get to the business of determining her children, if any. Failure to do so would pass the Crown to her brother Charles, currently first in line to the throne. In the past, there has been a general consensus of alternating between male and female monarchs, and so Joséphine's first child so be a male.

PROPOSAL: Joséphine de Nareath married Alexandre Pétain in 2540. She was 27, he 29.

MessageWe propose that she should marry a Pétain, the PPN has supported the monarchy all these years the least they can do is secure a marriage proposal between her and the leader of the PPN.

MessageOOC: Are the Pétain's an aristocratic family? I have put a random title, but if you have one in mind then I can change it.

MessageOOC: the thing is that Josephene is known to be the most liberal of Charles four children -- this however may play out well because then the royal family would not be seen as having an ideological tilt.

MessageOOC: That's true... Our party for one avoids any relations with the royal family itself to avoid any political controversies.

By the way the Pétains aren't really aristocratic, they are more of a middle class party.

MessageThere are 8 major aristocraic famlies in Rildanor -- including the Nareaths the one's currently holding the monarchy, and many smaller ones. There are also many families that are powerful for political reasons, such as the Pétains or D'Alouises.

Messageoh thanks .... well we DMR finds no objection in this marrieage . It looks socially acceptable being that the two families consist of high ranking dignitaries and socially fashionable personalities

MessageOOC: Also, the heirs of a monarch are usually determined by the Senate, just so it's fair. We'll probably have to determine Joséphine's heirs as soon as this bill passes.
