Messagethe LLP disagree with the last part to §2, we dont really like the language of §6, and we oppose §9.

We will vote against this bill since no foreign establishments of any sorts should be allowed to get our military nuclear information, that is higly classifes information vital to our national security, and we feel that other countries our the IAEA could through this get that kind of information.

MessageYou misunderstood what it meant. It means that if we are using any equipment from the IAEA we need to report what we are doing with them. If we are using our own equipment, we do not need to report it.

MessageAll of the articles you mentioned are only applicable if we use their equipment and financial assistance.

Message§6 says that, so as long as we done ask them for equipment or financial support that § should be fine, but §2 and §9 does not mention that it only applies if we use their equipment and financial assistence, so unless the language is changed to mention that we will not support this

MessageIt is implied in the other articles and at the beginning. For example article #1 says:
§1. The IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) shall seek to accelerate and enlarge the contribution of atomic energy to peace, health and prosperity. It shall ensure that assistance provided by it is not used in such a way as to further any military purpose.

It clearly says that they are going to check that the equipment they provide is not use for military purposes. The subsequent articles reaffirm this one.

Message§1 says that the IAEA will ensure that we will not use any help from them for military purposes, but §2 and §9 dpes not specify that they will only be used in cases where we have recived assistance from the IAEA.

Message The Liberal Party:

I have put the ratification of the IAEA up for vote but some parties in my country have shown some concern about the wording of some articles. Is it implied that the IAEA will only check the equipments it provided or all the country's equipment to verify it is not using it for military purpose?

President David Porter
United Republics of Lodamun

§9. The IAEA shall have the following rights:
- To require the observance of any health and safety measures;
- To call for and receive progress reports;
- To send into the territory inspectors, who shall have access to all places and data, in order to assure that there is not any military purpose.
- In the event of non-compliance and failure to take requested corrective steps within a reasonable time, to suspend or terminate assistance and withdraw any materials and equipment.

So, yes.

MessageWell if its ONLY gonna check the how we use equipment borrowed from them then I guess its fine as long as we can agree on that no part military nuclear program will ever use equipment provided by the IAEA

MessageIf we pass this treaty we won't have to agree on it because this treaty will make it illegal to use the IAEA equipment for military purposes.

MessageYeah but we wont use it in any of the non military nuclear programs thats part of our military nuclear program which would technicly not break the treaty since research it was used on was not firectly military

MessageSo, is the treaty good or not? Is it worth ratifying it? We could use some help with nuclear energy.
