Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2560
Description[?]:
As students have the freedom to choose their own higher education institution, we believe that less state interference is necessary, as free market forces are at work. To better suit the environment of higher education, we have proposed a few reforms to current policies. |

Message | This has our most devout support, and we commend the DCD for such a bold and intuitive move. This has my personal deep support. - Fieren Goldmark - Finance Minister (Radical Party) |

Message | We do not agree with Article 2 for the same reasons. Education has to happen at Telamon-created or Telamon-related institution. Tomislav Crnobrnja RRP |

Message | Education is a careful subject for the LSD. In the case of education, we do not believe in federalization. We think that the whole country should have public schools, pre-school through college. As of know, the government fully subsidizes tuition for Telamon's students, and we think that the current values of this bill are better for Telamon. We will vote no. |

Message | We simply disagree with such naive positions. Pre-school is hardly even an educational institution, and therefore needs no government regulation or interference. Nothing in this bill creates a threat of lessening the availability of higher ed institutions. We simply acknowledge that the land of higher education, naturally being a competitive environment by virtue of the fact that it is optional, should be turned loose upon the free market. It has been proven throughout history that the free market is more responsive to demand than the government is, and so our higher education facilities should be subject to market forces in order to maximize their quality. Message | The archaic statism of the opposition is incredulous. The private sector should have more increasing support from government, not more red tape surrounding its venture. We commend the DCD for this bill, and decry those that have voted against it. - Fieren Goldmark - Finance Minister (Radical Party) |
