Bill: "Helping Deltaria Act" Re-Vote

Details

Submitted by[?]: Centre Démocratique

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2562

Description[?]:

Minister of Defense Noel Dupre will not approve sending 500,000 troops into Deltara without further discussion.

This would involve Jelbania in another country's civil war and aligning our nation with the new "Axis Alliance of Terra."

If a party want Jelbania to join this party organization - then they should propose it and have a vote on it. We should not enter this alliance via sending half a million of our finest men and women into a foreign internal conflict.

This bill now becomes a revote of the "Helping Deltaria Act." The following words below are what was written in the original bill:

-

Kafuristan is planning to invade Deltaria : http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=183276 to fight against the Axis-controlled government. Because this threatens the security and stability of Majatra Jelbania has to take action. We propose to send 500,000 troops to the Deltarian Republikas Ushalande and Doron Akigo to defend these provinces against Kafuri troops.

(a secret order will be given to kill anti-axis troops. For the purpose of this order, an anti-axis troop is defined as an armed dissident who engages in violence or violent threats against the axis-controlled government or the Deltarian military .)

MessageMessage from Noel Dupré, Minister of Defense

The Assemblee recently approved a bill that would send 500,000 troops to Deltaria because of the recent conflict with Kafuristan. However, there are many problems with this bill and my party did not support it. As head of the ministry of Defense, I will not approve these forces being sent until all the parties in Jelbania are aware of the seriousness of the situation.

The part of the bill that is most troubling was the last paragraph: "(a secret order will be given to kill anti-axis troops. For the purpose of this order, an anti-axis troop is defined as an armed dissident who engages in violence or violent threats against the axis-controlled government or the Deltarian military .)"

Jelbania has for many years been a member of the Accord des Nations Amicales treaty. Historically, the Accord powers have been in conflict the Axis powers. During times of interntal strife in Jelbania, the Accord powers have offered us a helping hand. It does not make any sense for our nation to go out of our way to align ourselves with the Axis powers at this point in time. Here is the description of the Axis organization from its website:

AXIS AGREEMENT ORGANIZATION

"Dedicated to furthering the strength and effectiveness of the Axis Alliance and combating the Allies and the Union Française.

All nations that have ratified the Axis Agreement are given complete protection from foreign aggression by a great unified force of nations across Terra. No other organization can provide such strong security: The Allies are weak and ineffective while the Union Française is tyrannous and uses military force to keep its members in the alliance. The Axis, the other hand, gives its membership full sovereignty and the option to be absent from a defensive military action but it also, without exception, gives great support to its member states without hesitation. "

All parties should aim to sign the Axis agreement treaty:

The party that introduced this bill was Front moral pour Dieu et la Patrie. They a member of Union Francaise (as is UCC) and has supported Jelbania's involvement with the Accord in the past. Therefore, it does not make sense for the government of Jelbania to send our young men and women to die in a very confusing "civil conflict" AND to all of a sudden become supporters of the Axis, which openly states in its party organization website that it is dedicated to "combating the Allies and the Union Française."

I wanted all parties to gain a more complete understanding of this matter. I cannot, as Minister of Defense, approve the sending of these troops to Deltaria simply as tools of the Axis powers.

After further discussion, there should be another vote on this matter.

MessageThis Axis organisation is not the same organization as the Axis organisation you describe, this organizaton is fighting with the states of Deltaria which don't respect human rights and obey the government.

MessageHow do you respond to these comments in the "Axis Alliance of Terra" forum:

QUESTION:
OOC: Is this a continuation of the original Axis Powers that were in the Terran World War (which I started, lolz)?

---------------------------------------------------------

ANSWER:
OOC: more of a rebirth. but yes. Right now we are working to build up our power. Our first efforts have been in Deltaria and they have been, for the most part, fruitless. However, Jelbania has now sided with the Axis and we are courting Solentia.

When did Jelbania decide to align with the Axis powers? When was the vote on that? Are parties here sending messages about our foreign policy without all parties participating and agreeing?

République Fédérée de Jelbania

I would like to remind the Jelbanian Foreign Minister that she is in charge of diplomatic affairs and not military affairs, therefore she has no power to order troops.

What I feared would happen is taking place: internal strife in Deltaria is causing internal strife in Jelbania.

MessageI only sent a message to the leader of the AAT informing him about the ' Helping Deltaria' bill, nothing more. I don't understand the preoccupation of the Minister of Defense with the fact that this alliance is incidentally called the Axis Alliance. This Alliance has no plans of invading Accord nations, so we are not in danger of breaching our treaty duties to the Accord. This civil war in Deltaria is giving Jelbania the perfect opportunity to enlarge her position in Majatra. I call upon the Minister of Defense to listen to the voice of the overwhelming majority in the Assemblee Nationale. He should otherwise consider to step down.

MessageThe PSFN is only moderately concerned with international affairs. Perhaps we should focus on improving our own military in the event of an attack on Jelbania, rather than worrying about the problems of others.

MessageThe Axis Alliance of Terra clearly does not state that is against the Accord. In fact, the AAT is working together as a self-protection alliance where if one nation of the AAT is attacked, the other nations shall act together (OOC: a better version of NATO) to defend the nation. We would, in fact, encourage Jelbania to join the Axis as it would protect their nation against rogue foreign powers who would wish to destroy it.

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life fictional references (eg. Gandalf, Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker).

Random quote: "I worked at a factory owned by Germans, at coal pits owned by Frenchmen, and at a chemical plant owned by Belgians. There I discovered something about capitalists. They are all alike, whatever the nationality. All they wanted from me was the most work for the least money that kept me alive. So I became a communist." - Nikita Khrushchev
