Bill: An End to Reformism

Details

Submitted by[?]: Communist Party of Ikradon (ML)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2562

Description[?]:

Reformism and short-sighted sectionalism is betraying the revolutionary progress. We must strip back the capitalist welfare state to make obvious the brutality and injustice of the capitalist system, and ensure the proletariat is not bought off by a slight increase in standard of living.

MessageYou know, it's interesting that you combine "capitalist" and "welfare state", when my party is predominantly a capitalist one but despises the handout mentality and agrees with all of these points.

MessageThe welfare state is an integral part of the reactionary and counterrevolutionary nature of the state. By keeping the working class marginally above poverty it masks the true nature of capitalism and diminishes the revolutionary potential of the working class. By stripping away this system of an artificially high standard of living there shall be an increased class polarisation, and the working class will see capitalism for the brutal and exploitative system it really is. Only then will mass revolutionary, as opposed to reformist, movements form within the working class.

Random fact: Characters are considered to be "owned" by the player who first mentioned or created them. In practice, players may share responsibility for role-playing a character, but ultimate authority rests with the owner.

Random quote: "Anarchy is the true nature of all things. Monarchy, democracy, communism, all useless forms to control the human mind. But a mind cannot be controlled. It cannot be restrained. It has no boundaries. It has its will. Anarchy is the true nature of all things." - Alex Battig
