Bill: The Return of Thomas Cafiero
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social Democratic Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2563
Description[?]:
If you have not noticed, Thomas Cafiero is once again holding a ministry in our government. He is currently the Infrastructure and Transport Minister, and we would like to acknowledge that there was no 'Cafiero Affair.' The RRP was simply trying to spread false accusations, when they didn't know the real story behind the environmental disastor of May 2559. We have fully explained the 'Cafiero Affair' in Mr. Cafiero's biography section in the LSD's wiki. Please read the biography, and this bill will be put to a vote. A yes vote is in confidence of Mr. Cafiero, and a no vote is a vote of no confidence. If this bill does not pass, then Mr. Cafiero will resign once and for all, and never come back to the game of politics. http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Libertarian_Socialist_Demonstration |

Message | Thou there was no information that he left the country, he was nowhere to be found in the country. We do not beleve the Minister one bit because he could at least announce this information before the "Gazzete". He didn't even speak one word in the Government nor in the Parliament. He could at least informed us that he is working on it. This is unacceptable behavior. Not one word from him, and a 'NAY' vote from the LSD. No possible explanation is there, and your explanation is by all means absurd. He didn't say ONE word about it. One word? No. Every party that votes confidence to this minister can't expect our support on anything. Vojislav Krkljus Head of RRP |

Message | And what a loss - how will government function without the support of the smallest and most isolated party in Parliament? Mr. Caffiero has the support of the Radicals. Umberto Caccini Leader of the Radical Party |

Message | We are the smallest party in Telamon currently. Yes, that's true. But, instead of calling us 'isolated' call yourself that. Better to say, 'isolated from the truth'. You support the corrupted Minister Cafiero just because you want to keep your position in the anal organ of your Left-block partners. We are truly amazed by your arrogance and corruption. You really are for Radical changes. Radical as 'a more radically corrupted Telamon'. Vojislav Krkljus Head of RRP |

Message | While we don't believe there was an "affair" in the way the RRP uses the term. We do believe the explanation offered from the LSD party doesn't tell the complete truth. It seems cobbled together to offer minimal cover to a bigger truth. It had been our belief that a tanker spilled oil near Migadon based on reports we received. Now that we're told the environmental disaster was a nuclear spill we find it convenient based on LSD's positioning, in the past, on nuclear power. Telamon has a history of safe usage, reusal, and recycling of nuclear power and its byproducts for over 50 years. That is not to say that a spill couldn't happen but it is rather serendipitous for some parties that it recently happened. That said we have a difficulty in how Mr. Cafiero can jump from railway nuclear accident to terrorism. Surely the people of Telamon are smart enough to know that an accident is an accident and not a terrorist attack. Mr. Cafiero, as Minister of Environment and Tourism, is capable to deal with those categories. But, he is not an expert on terrorism. Such a call should have been made by the Ministry of Defense in conjunction with the Prime Minister and the President. As the accident involved the rail system the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport should have been included. Overall, we feel the entire situated was botched on all levels. We don't believe Mr. Cafiero is directly responsible but we would feel better if he removed himself for the time being. There needed to be better and more communication amongst the ministries and necessary departments for the accident. Migadon is our most urbanized state and yet there was no information with the government's handling of people's health. The Ministry of Health and Social Services should have been involved in coordinating local emergency personnel to test and treat people near the site, if necessary. Instead of worrying how the accident would be perceived the government should have responded, treated, and informed. If there was a valid concern of the accident being terrorism, and we have received no information to prove such a validation, that concern should have worked its way up to the PM and President in addition to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They would have been able to ascertain the validity of the concern and if necessary to contact our neighbors to get information from their governments if the concern of terrorism was believed to come from abroad. If the concern of terrorism was believed to originate domestically then the Ministry of Justice should have been involved to work with local and federal police agencies. -Thorden Raxney COM Party Leader |

Random quote: "A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." - Thomas Jefferson |
