Bill: Post-war Cities Act 2564

Details

Submitted by[?]: Covenanters (IA)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2564

Description[?]:

Be it enacted by the Emperor's most Holy Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the His Holy Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, in this present Holy Imperial Diet assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: -

Due to the destruction of Sandulka, caused by the rogue "Wolf" Legion in the War of Luthori Succession, it will be necessary to appoint a new provincial capital for Geharon.

I. It is proposed that the former Commonwealth capital Sondavita, situated near the borders with Tinako and Orange, would suit this purpose and should be re-incorporated as a city and replace Sandulka.

II. Williamsborough and Clamfwydd, near to the Ikradonian border, should also be incorporated as cities of Geharon.

III. Adlerberg should be incorporated as a city of Utagia, and considered the provincial capital (Oalapo being the Imperial Capital).

MessageOOC: As Williamsborough (or Williamsburgh?) was mentioned in the RP thread (http://www.takeforum.com/particracy/viewtopic.php?p=177972&sid=59a1e094a141ec873ccb1c81d59cd0bc&mforum=particracy#177972) I'd like to propose that we also add it to the list of Geharonese cities (once we've agreed on the spelling).

MessageOOC: Clamfwydd has also been mentioned in the above RP. I propose we add it to the list of cities in Geharon (we can have up to four in each Crown Dominion).

MessageThe Air Force have another suggestion - why not move our capital city away from the barbarian Oalapo and make Fort William our main city?? We prefer Williamsborough, old chap!

MessageOOC: We need a 2/3rds majority to remove and create cities or change the capital. I can't see the republican secularists supporting a move of the capital from Oalapo, the seat of the secular government and under their control, to Ft William, a royal palace and crusader garrison.

MessageYour Imperial Majesty.

By definition, since Oalapo is controlled by the usurper Apnex, who have traitorously subverted the Privy Council and put power in his own hands, the city can no longer be considered the capitol of the Empire since it lies outside of the borders of the Holy Luthori Land, for now.

If You so wish, the army which you possess could drive out the Privy Council of Oalapo and bring the city back to your domain.

MessagePerhaps it would be prudent to advance to Oalapo and divide the city between the Holy Empire and the rebels? We could build a Peace Wall along the divide...

MessageThat sounds great. Adlerberg Castle will be the HQ both for the Air Force and the provincial administration. But the Adlerberg city itself is quite small and lying a few miles from the Castle. As you probably know Adlerberg is very near the "border" to Orange.

MessageYou know, things like suggesting alternative names for the cities: you'd like to have cities in our Empire, wouldn't you? I presume you don't want to waste one of the limited spaces for cities on a burnt-out ruin?

MessageWe hardly think that Apnex or Beige really are reading this anyway. The ineptitude of the rebels is shocking.
