Message | The USPP is willing to support this legislation, as articles 1-3 meet our approval. However it is our belief that refugees should not be limited by whether or not they are the victim of "extreme circumstance." Providing all refugess with aid is avidly promoted by the USPP. |

Message | We support the third article; government policy concerning immigration. But being opposed to the other three articles to one degree or another means we will vote against this bill as currently stands. Lenny Nozick Answers All Of His Own Fan Mail, TACP |

Message | Article II is unacceptable, thou all others are very wise. We will vote against this bill if it stands together with article II. It would be a pity. Vojislav Krkljus Chairman of the RRP |
Date | 22:53:08, April 18, 2008 CET | From | Democratic Capitalist Delegation | To | Debating the COM Foreign Policy Cooperative Reform |
Message | The DCD has supported article III regarding foreign aid and article IV regarding the national refugee policy as they stand, but we supported these policies half heartedly as inclusions to bills which we favored overall. Our party is particularly lenient on the issue of providing foreign aid, as we believe both the current and proposed policies are suitable. However, we adamantly support article IV as proposed by the COM party, as this is the choice policy of our party. We do not believe Telamon has the capacity to welcome flocks of international vagabonds from anywhere for any reason, but we should feel obligated to help those who are victims of extreme circumstances. We also support Article I regarding foreign embassies, because although we are an internationalist party, we do not believe any country we do not permit to do so should be establishing embassies in our country. We prefer Article II regarding immigration as it stands, but the change in policy is not such an outrage that it overrides our support for articles I and IV. We will support this bill. Message | Oftentimes, and especially when compromising, we must swallow medicine we don't like the taste of but do not hate. We do this to accomplish a result that we may otherwise be unable to achieve. We believe that no party will be completely satisfied with this bill but that most parties will be willing to adopt this bill to make some gains in areas they care about. We do not favor everything in this bill but have included the provisions to give each side something it has asked for. -Thorden Raxney COM Party Leader |
