Message | Heavens no. For many reasons, such as preventing the spread of foreign disease into our national livestock, etc. |

Message | If the exotic animal clause is removed due to well-founded concerns about disease, will people support the second clause about wild animals? |

Message | The Communist Party finds it hard to get enthusiastic about Article 2. The Right to own Wild Animals sounds ridiculous. We'd probably vote against, simply due to the dangers of safety. |

Message | The term "wild animal" is just an arbitrary distinction. All animals were once "wild." The natural state of the animal is to be "wild." And furthermore, owners are liable for safety precautions. |

Message | They may be liable for safety precautions, but that doesn't mean some tiger won't eat a guest at some point. It just means the owner will have to pay injuries. |
Date | 04:13:47, September 18, 2005 CET | From | National Socialist Party of Deltaria | To | Debating the Animal Rights Bill |
Message | "The government maintains a list of dangerous wild animals which may not be kept as pets; other wild animals may be kept as pets." This appears far saner to the NSP. |

Message | But dangerous is just in the eye of the beholder. We have churches in Deltaria where people worship with venomous snakes, I've seen people who keep tigers in the same rooms as their babies. |

Message | .... and the fact that people are stupid morons somehow makes brown snakes and tigers less dangerous? Might I point out the death rate of snake-handling ministers in Deltaria? The cost of tending to ministers who've lost arms and legs from non-fatal bites? And as the keeping of wild animals as pets is banned, the NSP would like to know exactly what kind of criminal filth the speaker for the ULP has been associating with. In the interests of protecting the children of Deltaria, the NSP reccomends that the ULP speaker is immediately taken into police custody to be interrogated for the names of these irresponsible and dangerous child-abusers, so that they may be brought to justice and their children removed from such a hazardous home environment and placed into suitable state care. |
