Message | No. If someone is bad he should have a bad wage. |

Message | Economic suicide. See when you make a minimum wage, all the prices and cost of living go up with it... meaning everyone may have more money but nobody is really any better off than before. Except now you create huge unemployment due to the fact that some workers do not produce as much as the wage, and employers can't afford to hire or keep them. |

Message | Well this bill is about a minimum wage, so the workers can support themselves and their family without falling below the poverty line. I think the poverty line and the "support" is not only measured in cold cash, but also in essential goods. |

Message | no no listen. When you raise a minimum wage, the poverty line goes UP, since everyone has more money, everything will cost more and those under the old poverty line will still be under the new poverty line with minimum wage. |
Date | 06:20:28, April 21, 2008 CET | From | Cildanian Nationalist Party | To | Debating the Minimum wage |
Message | That's why the minimum wage goes up WITH inflation. |
Date | 00:03:44, April 22, 2008 CET | From | Justice League of Cildania | To | Debating the Minimum wage |
Message | Minimum wage makes inflation rise which makes cost of living rise which makes minimum wage rise which makes inflation rise...... you create an arms race with your own money supply, and the higher the wage goes the more unemployment you create because you price workers out of the market. |
Date | 01:12:34, April 22, 2008 CET | From | Cildanian Nationalist Party | To | Debating the Minimum wage |
Message | So, having people unemployed because of a minimum wage law is so horrible compared to having people underemployed, and working as near-slaves? |
Date | 03:48:54, April 23, 2008 CET | From | Justice League of Cildania | To | Debating the Minimum wage |
Message | slavery is when someone is forcing you to work against your will. Unemployment means you starve. Would you rather eat at 3 Cildar per hour or starve at 5 Cildar per hour? By what right do you have to make that decision for someone else? |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
