MessageMy party asked our good president to revise the cabinet proposal. While we value every party as having something to bring to the table it's not necessary to include every party in the cabinet and it's as a courtesy and a show of good faith that we extend cabinet seats to parties outside of our alliance. We won't be offended if these parties decline our offer, but we will pass a new cabinet and by declining our offer they turn down a spot at the table where we can work together to form a better Telamon.

MessageWe have worked together with many parties and have done so in good faith. We greatly appreciate the work of our nation's previous president who included our party in the national cabinet. We are happy to help in any way possible. We also realize that formalized agreements between parties are important. However, we view this cabinet proposal as a slap in the face.

No single party is more important than another. Having said that our party is often the swing vote willing to compromise, despite our conservative core, to enact legislation necessary to Telamon's benefit. This cabinet proposal basically says "we'll give you a crumb to do what we want and keep you quiet. If you don't want that we'll make you redundant." We find that offensive.

We know that no other party would ever intentionally do or say anything in that manner. But, that is how we view this cabinet proposal. We do not begrudge larger parties more seats in a cabinet nor seats to parties they have formalized agreements with. But, if a cabinet proposal is intending to include other parties it should be done so in a fair way.

The other parties should be included based on their current and past performance, their willingness to get the job done, and their ability to keep the government operational. They should not be judge only, or mainly, on who they are friendly with.

If President Kettering wishes to include us in the national cabinet, in a fair way, we will be both honored and willing to accept the invitation.
