Message | We support Article I regarding gambling, and half heartedly support Article II regarding Library funding. Although we would rather have the funding come from the federal government for libraries, we veiw the proposed value as more beneficial than the current value. We simply can't support Article III regarding health care, as it is one of the few industries we feel strongly about having some sort of nationalization to. We cannot support the abolishment of public health care, as we believe that ensuring the health of our population is essential to keeping the free market working at maximum efficiency. We have concerns with Article IV regarding postal service. Although we are not against an alteration to the current policy, we believe that a 100% privitization of postal service would unecessarily drive up costs. This is bad for our citizens, and quite frankly it's bad for business as well. Article V regarding energy generation is acceptable to us, although we would prefer the co-existence of public and private power generation. Article VI regarding the energy grid however, is not acceptable. The national power grid is far too essential to our country to be put in the hands of private business owners. We prefer the policy as it stands, and at most, would only support handing it over to local governments. Overall, our issues with this bill will force us to vote no.
