Message | If our nation's citizens want fiction, they can already purchase a novel or a movie. We must not turn our news media into pure entertainment. |

Message | 'While not a majority, the larger portion of this nation believes that our media should have the right to put whatever it wants on paper IT purchased and IT created.' Only 27.45% want NO regulation whatsoever. That means 72.55% want at least SOME form of regulation... Are you mad? Almost 3 quarters of our ENTIRE populace are against no regulation whatsoever. This Bill will allow libel and slander to be freely spoken alongside truth... the distinction may never even be discernible, depending on how the media CHOOSES to frame its stories. The Media will have the ability to singlehandedly bring down politicians with lies, and when called out for slander or libel the courts will be unable to prosecute at all, regardless of the personal damages incurred to an individual's reputation, family life or business prospects. Reputations could be dragged through the mud for entertainment value, or even just to further the political ideals of the media who control what we see and hear during our recreational time. The NPG accuses the NLP of treason. Firstly for the unlawful movement of troops into another nation and secondly for this 'Act', which aims to subvert and deceive the people of our Great Nation, and deliver their subliminal education into the hands of a media that can lie at will. A media that can lie at will without fear of retribution for its actions. |

Message | If we allow false information to be published then it could cause chaos. Anything could be published with no eidence to back it up. This would be a stupid thing to do. |

Message | I deserve the right to put whatever I wish on paper I purchased. The government does not have the right the touch my private property. |

Message | And as to the treason accusations, It seems that whatever I do that goes against your policies is "treason". I am sending to vote. |

Message | Just think how many law suits will be taken out against different people for publishing false information. |

Message | Private media can be trusted not to publish obvious falsehoods, as their reputation for accuracy is what keeps them afloat. If any media company published false information, they would quickly lose market share to a competitor who is more on the ball. |

Message | Consider the many women's magazines that exist today. They print scandalous information, usually regarding celebrities. This proposal will allow people to submit half-truths and out-right lies to these magazines. The readers won't mind, as long as it's still entertaining. Soon, the magazines will be mixed with true stories and the fabrications of journalists. The lies printed will from the magazine and will soon be considered true by our nation's citizens. We see no harm in limiting this kind of behaviour. |
