MessageHere's our starting place for the recommended budget post the enactment of this year's revenue enhancements.

1) 250,000 dropped for Foreign Affairs. We've contributed enough to Luthori reconstruction; pending especially the agreement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2) Increases to defense. Last recommendation from the Defense Ministry was that 14 billion should be its minimum budget. We'd like an update from the Minister of Defense.

3) Increases to H&SS and E&C. We're adding new programs to both. Fortunately the repassage of Social Security will reduce demands on the welfare system in the long run. But it looks like the pharmaceutical assistance bill is going to pass.

We're open to comments from all parties, as usual. We'll leave it up for comments before submitting it for a vote.

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.
