Details
Submitted by[?]: Partiya Natsional'noy Gordyy
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2113
Description[?]:
Our eldery deserve time to enjoy their retirement. They built Trigunia. Compared with other nations our retirement age of 70 is very high. It has no effect on the labourmarket. The unemployed can replace the pensioners. It will lower the unemployment rate as well. The SLP therefore proposes to lower the retirement age. |

Message | And how will the elderly who have to retire survive? Who pays for them? Pensions cannot be paid forever you know. With life expectancy around 80 or more. 70 is a sensible age |

Message | Well, they are insured aren't they. Of course we can give the pensioners of 65 a choice: work longer or retire. The private insurance companies will introduce new pensionscheme's. De pensioner's pay the bill not the state. |

Message | I'm not sure what impact this will have. Private pensions are a matter for the individual and the pension company. A vigorous private pension market will cater to people wanting to retire at a range of ages. There is no state pension scheme, so the government isn't going to be paying any pension money at all regardless of age. |

Message | Well let's give the pensioner's a choice. Almost all the other nations have their 65 year old people pensioned. The difference with my proposel is that the pensioners are paying in stead of the state. Besides that isn't it our dutie to give our eldery the choice to enjoy some quality-tiem ? It's a way to thank them for their achievements. |

Message | This bill would have no effect on pensioners' choice. All pensions in Trigunia are voluntary private schemes, most of which already give the scheme member a choice of when they retire. |

Message | Exactly. If they can afford to retire early they can, if they cant, then the company cant force them to retire at 65 due to a retirement age and they can work until 70 if they want to |

Message | So there is no reason to object to our proposal and Trigunia will meet international standards. |

Message | The reason to object to your proposal is that redundant legislation is a waste of parliament's time. Also, there is the risk that people will in the future come to misread this useless legislation and it could lead to adverse action. |

Message | As in regards to International standards I would remind you that Trigunia is a leader within the International body and not a follower of other's policy. For this I have to vote no on your proposal with the life expectancy rate higher then ever before and health being better then ever I have to vote no on this. |
