Bill: Negotiating a cabinet

Details

Submitted by[?]: Pariah Idealism

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2583

Description[?]:

I would like to prepare a cabinet. Since we're a close group, with not much breathing space, we must get this done. So Mike Bramble is requesting that each party give me a list with most to least important cabinet positions. Then I can Finally construct a cabinet around certain views and opinions. Since nobody seems to trust my judgment of the last cabinet proposal, I am enacting the following rules:

Foreign Affairs is my only true interest so it's not up for request
Until it has been worked out, all positions with major conflicts including some of my own will be disqualified from the race and will be sent straight to me. These are Defense and Justice. This hopefully is not permanent.

Noticing that Prime Minister and Finance will be wanted by all I will set up an election for these positions tell me if you'd like to be entered. Any other spots that seem to be appearing as likely as these 2 spots maybe subject to these terms.

I will not take any of the following below or Prime Minister or Finance unless they are determined un-negotiable.
Most-least spots:

Internal Affairs
Infrastructure and Transport
Health and Social Services
Education and Culture
Science and Technology
Food and Agriculture
Environment and Tourism
Trade and Industry

MessageDid you know that the President can negotiate any treaty if he wants to? The President is the Foreign Minister by de facto. So, you don't need to have the Foreign Ministry. Actually, that is my only request. Aside from the fact you already know regading the Defense Ministry.

MessageI have been unable to negotiate a eace treaty because Likatonia is unwilling to do so. I have proven myself in negotiating in other situations and I have made several deals with other countries. I am more than qualified to keep holding the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

MessageThat is the problem, you can't see anything. You are simply a stubborn, disrespectful person. I have negotiated important relationships with other countries that have valuable to us. Since you only think your opinion and actions are the only ones that count, I won't explain anything to you.

Message1- I have prevented our relationship with Telamon to break up by negotiating and making an alliance with the Rightful Radical Party. Check with them if you want to. Here's one of the messages.

Message The Liberal Party:

Congratulations on winning the presidential election. It has been a pleasure working with your party and we hope we can continue working together.

Ex-President David Porter, Rich Reynolds, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nick Johnson, Chairman of The Liberal Party.

My dear friend. I am working on Telamon-Lodamun friendship as we speak.

Vojislav Krkljus
President of Telamon

2- For those who think I am not making an effort to negotiate a peace treaty, here's a message with the Emmissary, or whatever is called now, which I sent.

Message The Liberal Party:

I requested the previous Emissary and the Foreign Minister to approve my request of a vist to Likatonia from the President to negotiate a peace treaty. Could you give me a response to my request?

Thank you

Rich Reynolds
Minister of Foreign Affairs
United Republics of Lodamun

We have had some parties go inactive, so the Emmisary and Foreign Minister were not available. As soo as the current Cabinet Bill is enacted, you'll get your response.

Message#1
Friendship with Telamon? Didn't you negotiate the Anti-Likatonia treaty which telamon refused to ratify and a previous Telamon alliance which Telamon withdrew from? Are these real accomplishments?

#2
In twenty years you've requested a visit to Likatonia? That's all you've done for peace. The fact is that the LP put outrageous conditions on Likatonia before negotiations would begin.

#3
The extradition of Andrew Moore has led to what exactly? Is he on trial or have we turned him over to the Likatonians who would put him on trial?

MessageI am going to xplain it once even though you are going to keep making silly excuses.

#1- I did not negotiate the Anti-Likatonia treaty. I have negotiated the Telamon-Lodamun Friendship Treaty, a non-military treaty. I prevented our friendship from breaking by continuing negotiating with the party currently holding the presidency. Even though we haven't reached an agreement, yet, we have made great accomplishments and we still have that friendship because of my effort.

#2- Likatonia is reluctant to negotiate, I can't force them to sign a peace treaty. At least I have tried and frequently.

#3- He is in our custody. The rest is not my business. I did what i was supposed to do get him here, the rest is not up to me.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
