MessageThe people deserve tax cuts, not just one demographic.
I will oppose this tax cut because you only target it at one group in the society, but I will propose some tax cuts myself when the war is over and the military budget is back down, and we see how much money we can give back to our citizens

MessageThe poor pay more than enough. I only targeted one group because I proposed a tax break for the rich some time ago. It is the poor's time now.

MessageThe poor pay alot less of what they make than the rest, who also gets hit with even more taxes in addition. We belive that a flat tax rate is the most fair to everyone. The poor pay so little tax already that I wont support a tax cut targeted only at them at this time, but will support tax cuts which affects everyone

MessageIt is impossible to have a flat tax but even if it was possible we can't now. The poor are poor, they should pay less taxes. As I said before, the rich got a tax cut, big tax cut sometime ago.

MessageIts not impossible to have a flat tax, all we would need to is give everyone the same % of there income in tax. Then if you made 2 times more than another guy you would pay 2x as much tax too, so the people with a low income would pay alot less than the people who hade a bigger income

MessageIll try to calculate that when we get the military budget back down, but hopefully not too big

MessageThis is what happens with a flat tax. If you make it too low, we will not be able to have a surplus, that is reality. If you make it too high, poor people will pay more. If you make it higher than 9% , poor people will pay more, do you think you can make it at 9% or lower?

MessageIf we start cutting our spending seriously, and give every bracket exept the 3 lowest a 17% income tax, give the two next brackets 15 %, and the last 10 % we can actually get a ok budget, (some cuts in the biggest expenditures, meaning defence, Internal Affairs, Education and Culture, Health and Social Services, and Science and Technology, with defence taking the by far biggest cut) although this would be disriminating against the 6 highest tax brackes in favor of the 3 lowest

MessageYeah exactly. We can support a flat tax on 17% if we cut our miliatary spending down to 35 billion LOD, and cut 1-2 billion from each of the other ministries I mentioned (actually we can cut a bit less since I calculated with a lower tax bracket for the poorer)

MessageIf the three lower brackets get 9% or less, I will support a flat tax gladly but if they have to pay more than that tax rate, I won't.

MessageWell make anyone pay less than other is discrimination towards the majority of our citizens, since the 3 lower brackest only applies to a minority of our citizens.

We will oppose any tax cuts being given only to the lowest 3 brackets because its just wrong to make one bracket pay more than 450% more of the income in tax than another bracket (higest - lowest. The differnec between the lowest and the one in the middle is a bit over 300%)

MessageThat minority earns very little money, they should keep as much as they can. I was trying to say that if in your future proposal you give everyone a flat tax except the lower three brackets, which should only have a 9% or less tax, I will support.

MessageIm not gonna lower the tax for the 3 lowest brackets, the least they can do is keep there current tax rate, since I already think its unfair (seriously 300% more is ALOT, and just think about 450%+ a luxury tax on top), and in a flat tax everyone would pay an equal amount of tax, no matter how much they made, which is by far the most fair for everyone (if you dont make alot of money you dont pay alot of tax)

ToDebating the Income tax proposal of November 2570
MessageDo you think it is fair for the poor people to pay a 15% tax rate. They will never be able to pay as much taxes as the rich. What the rich pay in taxes is what the poor earn in one year. Don't only look at the amount of money they would pay but at the amount, with respect to their salaries, that they would pay with a 17% tax rate. They won't be able to survive with that kind of tax. That's why they call them poor, they don't have enough money. The ricj would get a HUGE tax break with your proposal.

ToDebating the Income tax proposal of November 2570
MessageIm not saying they would pay the same amount in tax as the rich, they would pay the same % of there pay check as the middle class and rich, so they would all pay equally much. Also a poor person would still be able to make a decent living with 600 LOD a year evern with a 17% tax rate, but you should not profile the tax break as one that only applies to the rich, as it would imply to a large majority of our citizens, the rich only bein a small part of that (and we dont actually have that many rich people, so there is not really that much money to get there anyway)

Messageremeber that the highest bracket would pay more than 10x tax than the lowest bracket with a flat tax rate

MessageI agree with you that the rich should get a tax break but I don't agree with you in making the poor pay more than they already do. I don't have any problem with a 17% tax rate for the rich, but making the poor pay 17% seems too much. It would be taking away about one-fifth of their pay check.

Messageeveryone else would loose about a a fifth of there pay check too, but atlest everyone who pay equally much in income tax (and remember the luxury tax, which dont apply to the poor people)

MessageWell atleast you agree on tax cuts for everyone else. a 17% tax bracket for everyone expet the lower 3 brackets could atleast be a nice start, but it would need a peace agreement and a dramatic budget cut first

MessageYes, how did I become part of this conversation? I've been working on a slightly more flat tax rate than we have. I found that if we have 20% flat tax, we make just as much. But adding in the fact that most poor cannot afford such a tax I'm working on the lower 3 being the same and seeing how to make it add up.

MessageI voted no because I like LLP's idea of a flat tax. Since I can't propose tax numbers, keeping the debate going is the only thing I've got to work out the tax numbers. I just need some time, this is really crazy stuff which you cannot do on a calculator.
