Sec. 1 SHORT TITLE This act may be cited as the 'Torture Prohibition Act 2572' Sec. 2 PROVISIONS No federal officer, nor any other person, shall, under any circumstance whatsoever, or for any reason whatsoever, torture, order or allow to be tortured any person, or deprive, order or allow to be deprived any person of their fundamental rights. Sec. 3 EFFECTIVENESS The provisions of this act shall take effect immediately upon passage. |
