MessageWe vote yes, but we have no problem with paid employees, don't know if there is a difference, but certianly this should come from private money rather then public funds.

MessageWhat we want to know is for what purposes these servants are employed. If this refers to ancillary staff then we may vote against.

MessageYes, a President of a major nation needs servants. Even a Socialist President.

Those hours in the day the President spends cooking and cleaning are hours he should be spending reviewing intelligence reports, speaking with foreign dignitaries, handling foreign policy crises, traveling abroad, rallying the military, etc. The modern Presidency is not a 9-5 job where you can come home and do your chores after a full day. Modern Presidents are on call round the clock. Their minds shouldn't be burdened with the petty routines that occupy the lives of everyday people.

Please Mr. President: divest yourself of those chores so you can focus on the needs of the nation. That's why those servants are there--they're there because the people want them there.

MessageAPU, these "servants" are paid employees, of course. Slavery is illegal in Aloria.

MessageOk. well, How are they financed then? By Public funds? Any employee paid by Public funds should be considered as working for the government, not individuals in the government. At the very leasts, they should not be officially listed as "servants", as this is a word that seems righ out of the classist days of old. Though we do feel there is much ambiguity in the matter, so we are voting here merely that these such conditions be recognized.

MessageThey're paid for out of the Ministry of Head of Government budget. They're cooks, maids, butlers, chauffeurs, gardeners, etc. I can't think of a better name for them than "household servants."

I appreciate where you and the President are coming from though. It appears to be a matter of nomenclature. It's a small matter. Come up with a better term than "servant," and I'll update appropriately.

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).

Random quote: "Most politicians hold their fingers to the wind, and if we win we'll be showing them a lot of wind." - Ralph Nader
