Bill: Weapons Export

Details

Submitted by[?]: People's Front of Indrala

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2574

Description[?]:

We would like to open up the possibiliy of not only the state ran defence industries but also the private sector to have the chance to expand the marketplace to new buyers.

However, this comes with a great responsbility of not selling just anyone anything they want. We are open to debate, but we do want to see the current value changed. Therefore we are proposing to open arm sales to close allies.

Signed,
Kyle Zhitel, Minister of Trade and Industry

MessageWe thought about it, but we are unsure of how allowing citizens of our nation to own guns would go over in the National Assembly. Besides it is nice having a society that has no guns outside of the police and military hands, making us unsure as rather to disrupt this or not.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.

Random quote: "The first step in freeing yourself from social restrictions is the realization that there is no such thing as a 'safe' code of conduct, one that would earn everyone's approval. Your actions can always be condemned by someone, for being too bold or too apathetic, for being too conformist or too nonconformist, for being too liberal or too conservative. So it's necessary to decide whose approval is important to you." - Harry Browne
