Bill: Pension Compromise Act of 2575
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kirlawan People's Justice Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2575
Description[?]:
The current law, which was passed two years ago when several parties failed to vote, we feel to be the absolute worst of all of the options available on this issue. The only difference which this bill would introduce when compared to the current law, is that it will no longer punish Kirlawans for refusing or neglecting to participate in some private corporation's scheme. We hope that since it thus reduces the degree of coercion imposed on individual citizens, as well as that it does not reintroduce a government pension, that it will be acceptable to the DFM, while at the same time being for other parties no worse than the current law on this issue. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning the pension system.
Old value:: There is a compulsory private pension system.
Current: The state operates a compulsory public system combined with an optional private pension.
Proposed: The state does not operate a pension system. Individuals must save up for retirement on their own.

Message | Actually there is none. However, we are willing to support " The state offers a voluntary public pension, combined with other voluntary private pensions" option if the LLH as our DA partner, agrees to this as well. |

Message | We would be willing to accept that (or any other change), since it would be not as bad as the current law, which we feel to be the absolute worst of all of the options available on this issue. |
