Bill: Public Protection Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Republican Party (UCF)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2577
Description[?]:
My countrymen, countless murderes and rapists get out of jail far to soon because of overcrowding (they cost milions to the society while in jail), thus they are free to roam the streets and most of them commit another capital crime. It is for this reason, to assure that our people are safe from recidivist murderes and our children safe from recidvist rapists, that we propose to reinstate the death penalty for these same murderes and rapists. Interviews with rapists prove that what they have is an incurable disease, and that they will continue to try to rape people unti they join their maker: let us make that as soon as posible. |

Date | 12:55:15, May 13, 2008 CET | From | Federal Republican Party (UCF) | To | Debating the Public Protection Act |
Message | The difference between the death penalty and murder is that the state enforces the death penalty by abiding by the law, criminals BREAK the law by killing someone, would you rather have them free to walk the streets because of overcrowding? |
Date | 23:27:05, May 13, 2008 CET | From | Union Party | To | Debating the Public Protection Act |
Message | We refuse to listen to Republican propaganda and oppose state imposed murder, as the National Thomasians said. According to a report by Esperanza Flores, the Justice minister, there is no overcrowding problem. |
Date | 16:20:59, May 14, 2008 CET | From | Federal Republican Party (UCF) | To | Debating the Public Protection Act |
Message | If guidelines are properly established on when the death penalty can be applied, firstly, it can prove much cheaper than life sentences and secondly, many prisoners sentenced to life in jail attempt suicide, so it is very arguable that life in jail is worst than death. |
Date | 23:15:24, May 14, 2008 CET | From | Mordusian Austrian Union | To | Debating the Public Protection Act |
Message | We support the stances of the National Thomasian Party and the Democratic Party. State imposed murder is absolutely unacceptable. We cannot allow the State to justify any attempt at violence against the person. |
Date | 22:44:47, May 15, 2008 CET | From | Union Party | To | Debating the Public Protection Act |
Message | The Democratic Party does not care how "cheap" or expensive something is, as much as it wants to see justice served. |
