Message | This is a proportional cabinet which includes all parties. I used the following principles in forming it: 1) The prevailing coalition should get its first choice cabinet picks to the extent possible. 2) Cabinet posts should be awarded in number according to seats held in the Parliament. Hence, APU was awarded three posts, MLP and USGP each were awarded 2 posts, and everyone else was awarded one post each. 3) I awarded the Prime Minister to PC because I like to give smaller parties an opportunity to serve in leadership roles. |

Message | Progressive Coalition Members: I tried to give you what you want to the extent possible. Unfortunately, I had to make some sacrifices in order to make a cabinet that included everyone. Also, I didn't hear back from DCP in time to give DCP his first choice cabinet picks. Non-Progressive Coalition Members: I hope you accept our gesture of inclusiveness. I've been persuaded by voices within my own own coalition that it is time to reach out to the other parties. We've ruled for a long time. Other Alorian voices should be heard. I know you may not get the cabinet posts you wanted. On the other hand, I believe the governing coalition rightfully should get its first choice of cabinet posts. |
