Bill: Solidarity Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Revolucia Partio de Koburo

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2578

Description[?]:

"Every doctor, every nurse, and every piece of medical equipment in a private hospital - these are things which are stolen from the public sector, where they are most needed. A doctor can not be in two places at once. Neither can a nurse. Nor a piece of medical equipment. Only a small minority use private hospitals - the bourgeoisie - because they have fatter wallets. The vast majority - the proletariat - use the public system because they have smaller wallets, and in some cases, no wallet at all. Why should the small group be allowed to steal from and harm the majority? We all agree....doctors and nurses are a scarce commodity at times, so why must we allow a small few, by virtue of their ability to pay, to take a doctor or a nurse from the most needy? In essence, do you value money....or people?"

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.

Random quote: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King Jr.
