Message | Three months is not always a long enough time to decide how your entire future. Whether to have a child is and humongous decision and time to make it shouldn't be restricted for expediancy. You said so yourself, abortion is a big deal. And you want to limit their decision making time? |

Message | First sentance revised from above: Three months is not always enough time to decide how you are going to live the rest of your life. |

Message | I'm not a woman, but i think that if you got yourself into this, you should try to be as serious as possible. THREE MONTHS is a quarter of the year. That's a long time. What? will she change her mind the day after the third month is up? No, having a child sets people thinking to an extent that 3 months should me more than enough time. |

Message | We agree, if a woman does not undergo menstruation for 3 months and does not notice than who is she? |

Message | You're right. You're not a woman. You have no idea what it's like to have a child growing inside of you and to know your future may never be the same again. Neither do I. But I take their word for it. It's a very confusing time including mood shifts and feeling sick and wierd. Very confusing. It's takes a lot of counseling before many women can make a clear rational decision on whether to have an abortion, raise the child, put it up for adoption, give it to a family member, etc etc. It's not so clear cut as a coin toss. These decisions really are fragile and to be done right they take time and thoughtfulness. |

Message | "We agree, if a woman does not undergo menstruation for 3 months and does not notice than who is she?" - It's not just a question of knowing whether you're pregnant. Read the post above and try to put yourself in their shoes deciding whether to give life to a child and change your life forever or give that up for security of your future. |

Message | I see, but i disagree. I know that a fetus has no rights, but i still think that we need to find a middle ground between decency to the unborn and decency to women. I think that this bill does just that. By the end of the second trimester (2/3 of the way through the process), the fetus is nearly ready to survive outside of their mother's body. That means that they are nearly a human being. Killing them off seems slightly immoral. |
Date | 06:04:12, September 20, 2005 CET | From | Populist Liberal Party | To | Debating the NPPbill 2113#6 (abortion) |
Message | We believe that the woman is the only one who can decide whether to be a human incubator or not, and thus will will oppose this legislation. |
