The Liberal Party of Hobrazia proposes the following five decentralization initiatives to begin the project of rejuvenating civic life in our counties. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Charter school policy (free, privately run, publicly funded schools).
Old value:: Only non-profit organizations may establish charter schools.
Current: Only non-profit organizations may establish charter schools.
Proposed: Charter school funding, regulation, and development is left up to local governments.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change Civil defence is the government's policy on providing shelters to be used in the event of attacks on major cities, mainly nuclear attacks and bombing.
Old value:: The government builds and maintains a network of shelters across the nation.
Current: The government builds and maintains a network of shelters across the nation.
Proposed: Local authorities are responsible for building and maintaining shelters.
Article 3
Proposal[?] to change The right for a person to prostitute himself or herself.
Old value:: Prostitution is legal and a recognized profession.
Current: Prostitution is illegal.
Proposed: Prostitution regulation decisions are left up to local governments.
Article 4
Proposal[?] to change The recreational drug policy.
Old value:: There are no laws regulating what citizens can put into their bodies.
Current: All naturally occurring drugs are legal.
Proposed: Recreational drug use is regulated by local governments.
Article 5
Proposal[?] to change The funding of sports clubs.
Old value:: The government does not fund sports clubs; only private ones are allowed.
Current: The government does not fund sports clubs; only private ones are allowed.
Proposed: Local governments decide the funding policy of sports clubs.

Message | We are sorry to say that we disagree with all aspects of this bill. All this bill will do is increase confusion between different areas of the country about what the legal situation pertaining to differing laws is. The current system of a unified legal code is much more efficient and better for social and economic harmony. |
