Bill: The Return of the Socialist Empire
Details
Submitted by[?]: Hobrazian Peoples Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2581
Description[?]:
We should implement these changes to enlarge the public sector and to divide the nation values to the common good. No need in letting money transfer among heavy-loaded capitalists and the poor never see a penny of them. This way the state will handle the division to the public interest. This is a restoration program to claim the socialist regulation that the parliament can agree. Let us embrace the great socialist empire: Accepting that the Public sector can provide efficient and reliable public services, whilst also accepting that the lure of increasing profitability and improvements in price and quality engendered through private competition can, in those areas that are not reliant on a purely non-profitable service provision, improve the goods purchased by the public, the Government will allow private investment and operation in all areas of business that are not directly required as part of essential public services. Business sectors deemed to be essential public services include: Public Transportation (as defined in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure: Ownership and Operation of Local and National Transport Networks and Services Act); Public utilities (including water supplies, electricity provision, via the National Grid, and gas supplies); Primary medical care facilities via the NHS; Essential Rescue Services (including Police, Fire, and Ambulance services as well as sea and land rescue operations). The private sector will be allowed to compete in all other areas of economic life, primarily in production, retail and banking sectors where its ability to operate flexibly and quickly to changing economic conditions will provide the best provision to the public, although they will also be allowed to operate additional healthcare facilities and provide charitable rescue operations that will work with the public rescue services. All industries will, however, continue to have specific regulations imposed on them where necessary in order to maintain quality of product in both the public and private sectors. |
