Message | We might be able to agree to this, though we do think that space exploration is something of national importance. If private firms make advancements in space exploration (which may be unlikely, as the costs are enormous and we are not sure as to where they would find that much funding), Hutori cannot be credited with this, where if the industry was state-owned, it would be. Having said that, we do also believe that the costs of space exploration are immense, and the benefits to society are not enough to justify their large tax-contributions towards it. Even if some great things are achieved by the space industry, the people of Hutori won't make a substantial return on their investments. Therefore, we support this proposal, albeit with some minor reservations. |

Message | OOC: I think this depends on how space exploration has evolved in the 26th century on Terra. I will abstain unless I know how far technology has gone, in order to see whether this coherts with our stances. There is a lot of difference in it if we have interplanetair trade agreements or anything, of if Terra hasn't found any other life, or even other planets, in space. |

Message | OOC: It may be the 26th century, but everything reflects contemporary technology. |

Message | Then we will vote no. Space must be kept pure, and we need to oversee private companies. Imagine everyone would start dumping their waste in open space. This would be desastrous. |
