MessageTransport is something that we do not believe should be government controlled, even on a local level. Many people never use public transport, and so should not be expected to support a commodity they do not use. It seems much simpler to allow each individual who uses public transport to contribute to its funding by buying a ticket, therefore ensuring that only people who use these commodities pay for them. This is the only fair system we can envisage.
However, we may support handing local governments authority over the issue if they were in charge of somehow sub-contracting to private transport companies, but no such option exists unfortunately.

MessageI think what everyone seems to forget here is, that only cars using environmental fuels are allowed. This means that there is only a minority of citizens still driving cars by themselves, and the vast majority has turned to public transport. We are against this bill, since we have to be reasonable for the citizens: if we take away their cars, we have to subsidize public transport!

MessageIn that case, we will soon provision for the legalization of all cars.
The FGGP should keep in mind that people and markets don't often respond well to immediate government regulation and intervention, and, wherever appropriate, they should be given incentives and disincentives instead. Therefore, rather than completely banning cars with a certain fuel type altogether for environmental reasons, perhaps the FGGP should pass legislation for governments to subsidize fuel-efficient cars, and taxes on petrol, if they want to achieve their goals in a market-friendly and effective fashion.
We would not support such a measure, but it would be a step in the right direction. The current system is absurd, in that it applies still un-proven environmental theory and hysteria and conforms all of society to its concepts.
We do not, and will not subscribe to sensationalist environmental conspiracies, and we do not believe that carbon emmissions have an effect on global warming to the same extent that the FGGP seem to believe they do, keeping in mind that the vast majority of greenhouse gases consist of natural methane, emmitted with or without human influence.
