It is in our belief that working hours need to be regulated to protect the workers. Therefore we suggest the following plan; 1. Non-physical workers (IE office workers, cashiers etc.) shall have a work week that shall not exceed 42 hours a week and 8.4 hours a day. 2. Physical workers (IE farming, construction, cargo loading etc.) shall have a work week that shall not exceed 40 hours a week and 8 hours a day. 3. A work week is comprised of Monday through Friday. |

Message | This is utterly ridiculous. I mean, if you want to force people to conduct NO BUSINESS, (which, for two major theologies, would coincide with their days of rest) then vote for this bill. But think about it. No one can work on Sunday or Saturday. Everything shuts down. Everything. Necessities cannot be arranged, many different services are downed, and this causes a great deal of consternation for many for two days out of the week. This is an utter pain of a bill, logically. |

Message | Indeedit's not the number of hours, but the pre-defined worweek which is problematic. |

Message | I have 2 major problems with this bill. First: The pre-defined workweek is rediculous. Other religions honor other days as holy days, meaning they would run into problems with this defined work week. Some people don't even believe in God. Why should they be forced to not work on a day they would prefer to? Beyond that the "weekend" would be a forced stay at home time with no option for liesure activites beyond what is naturally available. Second: Some people prefer to work more than 42 hours a week and are fully capable of doing so. Others need to in order to support their families. There needs to be a provision for them to be able to do so. |

Message | This is why discussion is good. As for religious things, well that would be a seperate piece of legislation, it is related, but would have to fall under a different bill. The bill does not forbid people from working overtime, it forbids employers from forcing them to work more then the hours layed out. |

Message | The work week is still ridiculous. Only overtime for the weekend? That's just an economic nightmare. The workweek needs to go. |
