Bill: Personal Choice Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Union Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2583
Description[?]:
In order to get a handle on drug use, the Democratic Party proposes legalizing cannabis, taxing it, and restricting it to the home, for adults only. This will hopefully eliminate the street sales of cannabis. We do not advocate allowing harder drugs, as these do much more damage to the budy. Cannabis does no more damage than tobacco and alcohol. This act will also limit government interference in personal matters. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The recreational drug policy.
Old value:: Recreational drug use is forbidden.
Current: Recreational drug use is forbidden.
Proposed: The use of cannabis is legal.

Message | Canabis has the very nasty habit of being bad for people around the consumer (passiv smoke) which we denounce, we also believe that drugs are generaly extremly immoral. Also, laws on cannabis are a tremendous tool for the fight against organized crime, as they very often sell cannabis. |

Message | Alcohol has the very nasty habit of being bad for people around the consumer (Disorderly conduct, smell) which we denounce, we also believe that drugs are general extremely immoral. (Funny that the FRP views killing one's self as ok.) The justice department has no records of organized crime selling cannabis only. Legalizing cannabis would end this practice, and clear jails for those who are invovled in crimes such as assault, heroin trading, and murder. |
