Message | Why would we not tax religions? They are a business like any other. They advertise their product. People purchase their product. They expand and contract dependent upon the economic conditions that apply within their market. They compete with other organisations for market share. How are they any different to any other business? As such their profits are taxed, however charitable donations provided for the good of others are, fairly, not taxed so they can be used for good (assuming that religion does such things). |
