Message | The Vanuku Sinatranoan Party agrees to this Bill. Artificial constructs can now create soap and other materials that were previously whale by-products. The slaughter of whales are no longer necessary to the hygiene or perfumity of our species. |
Date | 21:33:57, June 01, 2008 CET | From | Vanuku Freedom Party | To | Debating the Vanuku Whaling Act |
Message | We take the point that it is no longer "necessary" to hunt whale, but must ask: so what? Even if it is not necessary in a strict sense, there may yet be market demand for whale products. If there is a reason why whale hunting /should/ be restricted, by all means, let us hear it, but if there is none, this restriction on personal liberty and economic freedom cannot be justified. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
