Bill: UM Government Reform Bill of 2584
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Malivia
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2585
Description[?]:
It is the belief of United Malivia that a new separation of power is needed between the Head of State and the Head of Government. As such, we believe that the Ouparath should be reinstated as the Head of Government, which will be held by the largest party in the Parliament. The Maharaja (etc.) will retain status as Head of State, though this position may not belong to the largest party. As in the past, if the Head of State is for some reason unable to perform their duties in government the Ouparath will succeed them as Head of State until the next elections. |
