Message | "This bill is fundamentally flawed. For one thing, just because you have a gun doesn't mean you know how to use the bloody thing. And before the Saiserists say it's just a matter of pointing and firing, I must disagree. You have to get your hands and feet positioned properly to handle recoil, for one thing. Secondly, a handgun is more effective in the house for taking on anyone than most other types of weapon. It's a small, light weapon that you can manoeuvre effectively in small spaces, such as the corridors of a small house. It's easier to handle too." -Lt Col Rainer Altman, 17th Light Infantry. |

Message | "The population must be properly and fully armed. It helps our economy and helps us kill barbaric foreigners." ~Secretary Naryshkin |

Message | "No doubt about that, but it also lets 'barbaric foreigners', as you coldly put it, to legally buy all sorts of weaponry. Not only that, it'd also make it a lot easier for terrorist organisations to acquire high-powered weapons." |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
Random quote: On 7th February 4281 a group of renowned Metzist experts from all across Terra met in Haldor to form the International Committee for the Estimation of the End Date of Capitalism (ICEEDC). With the assistance of a powerful computer, they calculated that capitalism will terminate Terra-wide on 6th November 4320, and in Dorvik on April 17th 4310. We have no reason whatsoever to believe these very eminent and learned scholars are wrong. They have never been wrong about anything before. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer, General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
