Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2586

Description[?]:

The ailing public schooling system is another monlith of a more socialistic and idealistic part of Telamon's past. It was established with the more communalistic in mind, yet Telamon has thrived under private reforms aimed at handing the reigns of government to the people, and detangling previously-moribund state institutions from the bureaucratic red tape.

I propose this piece of legislation with the intent to maximise choice, add an element of competition into the schooling system which will make schools strive harder to achieve those higher grades, and those schools that are underperforming will simply vanish. This cuts down on government waste by funding schools that are not up to scratch.

I strongly believe this reform will benefit the children of Telamon.

MessageAny parents who are dissatisfied with public schools should feel free to move their children to private schools. Our party believes fervently that the availability and affordability of schools has a significant impact on the profitability of our economy, and therfore against the abolishment of public schooling.
