Bill: Weapons Usage Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Labor Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2588

Description[?]:

Whilst Malivia Left would support the full abolishment of nuclear weaponry, we understand that in times of war, Malivia must have the weaponry to defend itself. Thus, we are not proposing that we halt production or purchase of any kinds of weaponry. However, we do believe that the use of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons should be restricted to times of war, and should ONLY be used against non-civilian targets. Not only does this protect the rights of civilians worldwide, but it also protects the prestige and respect of our Nation.

MessageUsing Nuclear and Chemical weapons anywhere will cause untold damage to the environment which people need to survive. Weapons of this destructive capability should not be neccessary for any nation in the opinion of the Social Democrats, and so we oppose this bill.
