Bill: UM Ecology Rerform of 2587
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Malivia
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2588
Description[?]:
The economy of Malivia is severely hampered due to the fact that logging is illegal. It is time to change this law so that only licensed companies may participate in logging to improve our export of timber and paper products. Furthermore, laws restricting private hunting and fishing should be loosened to allow for hunting and fishing in designated areas during designated times. This will allow for a new section of the economy to open up to hunters, including the sale of hunting equipment. Finally, waste disposal has for too long been the burden of solely the government. It is time to put some of that burden onto private companies who will dispose of their own waste, while the government maintains its control of residential waste. |

Message | Malivia Left supports both Articles 2 and 3, but does not think that logging will be to the advantage of Malivia. Whilst it may prove benificial to the economy, this will be at the detriment of the environment, which will have a longer term impact on Malivia. |
Date | 20:22:11, June 06, 2008 CET | From | National Anti-Communist Front | To | Debating the UM Ecology Rerform of 2587 |
Message | We will support the UM, as long as the logging remains limited. |
Date | 04:41:43, June 07, 2008 CET | From | Silly Hats Party | To | Debating the UM Ecology Rerform of 2587 |
Message | The Social Democrats agree on the whole with this bill. However The Social Democrats would like to see some sort of regulation of waste disposal enforced in the future to ensure that private companies and the government dispose of their waste in an ecologially safe and smart way. |
