Date | 21:31:37, November 08, 2005 CET | From | Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Repeal of Gun Bill |
Message | What the citizens of the country do should be of no concern of government. It should not be the role of a responsible government to nanny its citizens nor should it be the role of government to restrict the freee enterprise of a section of its industry, namely in this case the arms industry. The Libertarian Party supports the repeal of virtually all laws, however as this replaces one law with an even stricter alternative we cannot support this proposal. |
Date | 03:46:37, November 14, 2005 CET | From | Peoples Revolutionary Party | To | Debating the Repeal of Gun Bill |
Message | Guns in the hands of the people has been a question for years. The pro's and con's have both been good points. However the people choose to own firearms for safty purposes. If a criminal wants a gun he can get one wiether we want him to or not. The police need guns to ensure the safty of there own lives and that of those they proctect. As a government we are elected to ensure the freedom and safty of the people, not demoralize them by taking there god given rights away. The People Liberation Party will have to vote no on this bill. |
