Message | While the RLP is in favor of increasing the rights of adults, allowing children to purchase tobaco and alcohol is not in the best interest of the country. Article 2, while we have some reservations, we might support with a sliding scale of age vs power of explosive. |
Date | 14:58:31, September 22, 2005 CET | From | Conservative Liberal Party | To | Debating the CPL Liberalisation of Consumption of Products Bill |
Message | The RLP openly endorsed the allowance of euthenasia and the passage of a bill that allowed the use of all recreational drugs. We therefore are following this libertarian idealism, by suggesting that there should be no units on the use of alcohol and tobacco by minors. |

Message | But if you remember there were age limitations on the drugs. children do not have a true choice when making these choices, as they have not lived long enough to gain the information, wisdom and self control necessary for such decisions. Bear in mind that our age of adulthood is 16, a young age compared to many nations. |

Message | true, but we believe that all children should be free to drink alcohol and smoke tobacco, it will certainly enliven society. |

Message | Don't act like the idiots in other nations who propose unrealistic legislation for no reason because they want to take advantage of the system. |

Message | Once again, the AAP believes the Conservatives are overstepping the boundaries of rational liberalism. While certain forms of PERSONALLY self-destructive freedoms may be allowed in society, there must be some attempt to limit how much damage is done to OTHERS, and to make sure that those who CHOOSE to be self-destructive, are COMPETENT to make that choice. The AAP must oppose. |
