Bill: Abolish Tax Incentive Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Partiya Natsional'noy Gordyy
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2115
Description[?]:
We find the present tax incentive for using public transport not the right way to switch people from the car to the train etc. It's very questionable if an incentive like this is convincing cardrivers. Moreover it doesn't encourage the public transport sector enough to compete. We think that the Government must infuence the behaviour of drivers by the media. That will be more enduring and therefore more effective . |

Message | The SLP favours a policy where people will use public transport in stead of their car. We also believe that this has to be archieved by persuasion and not by taxation. This has to be done by using the media (tv, radio and advertisements). We are very satisfied with the current situation of private owned media. Evidently, the collegues of the Corporate Party think otherwise. That must be a misunderstanding. Therefore the SLP would like to emphasize that we do not have the intention to change the current media situation. |

Message | What is this, the Corporatism party has found a party they find too illiberal? It's like a world gone topsy turvy. On the subject at hand, what a choice, tax or propaganda? Well, since the government will go on loudly telling everyone what they SHOULD be doing anyway, that side of things isn't going to change much. At least voting yes we have to pay less tax (and you can use the money saved from the tax to buy a portable DVD player and some big headphones so you don't need to see or hear the government's tiresome adverts). WE vote yes, and look forward to watching our favourite films on the small screen. |
