Message | The government involving itself in cutting edge research is nothing but a recipe for disaster. It will hold back research, and damage the international reputation of Tukarali in this area of science. |
Date | 18:11:29, June 08, 2008 CET | From | Greenish Liberal Democratic Socialists | To | Debating the Science and Technology (Cloning Regulation) Amendment Act |
Message | Cloning technology research is allowed at the moment. And we stronlgy believe in academic freedom.. eg. we believe stam cell research should be possible and all that.. But for example cloning humans is something we would be carefull about: Cloning a mice was relatively easy, after several years they succeeded in cloning a sheep, but humans are even more complex.. |

Message | Yes, clearly human cloning needs more research. What it doesn't need is government regulation standing in the way of cloning research, which could only slow down any research, as the researchers have to spend some time jumping through bureaucratic hoops. |
Date | 01:28:36, June 10, 2008 CET | From | Human Extinction Project | To | Debating the Science and Technology (Cloning Regulation) Amendment Act |
Message | The human race has caused enough trouble on this planet already. The thought of new mutant strains of the species being produced in science labs fills us with forebording. Professor Horace Werckle (Director of the Human Extinction Project) |

Random quote: "John Burroughs has stated that experimental study of animals in captivity is absolutely useless. Their character, their habits, their appetites undergo a complete transformation when torn from their soil in field and forest. With human nature caged in a narrow space, whipped daily into submission, how can we speak of its potentialities?" - Emma Goldman |
