Bill: Bestiality Regulation (2589)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Normand Pluralist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2590
Description[?]:
The most fair way to deal with Bestiality is to allow it to be permitted in the areas where it is locally acceptable, and to allow communities where it is highly offensive to ban it; if the government fails to act in the interests of local communities, they may take the law into their own hands, creating the potential for vigilante-style violence which could have been avoided with proper local governance. |

Old value:: The government has no policy concerning bestiality.

Message | No. We consider the idea of allowing governments to ban freedom to be despicable, and therefore are voting against. |

Message | We do not consider rape to be an appropriate term, as it is more legalistic and is only truly useable in events that there is any level of sentience. |

Message | So what the DSP is saying, is that it is only rape in the case of whales. Any other animal is quite alright, because they don't need to be treated humanely or any other such idea. |

Message | We find the DSP's disregard for both animal life and human sensibilities appalling. |

Message | What we're saying is that the word rape is inappropriate for the matter as it tends to be legalistic, another word would be more useful. Also, for future note, Whales, Dolphins, great apes and Humans make up the top most level of Sentience per law, so in the cases of those animals the word rape would be appropriate. OOC: Not saying that rape is right, but lots of animals practice what we would call rape, so I have to ask if it can really be considered forced if that's how the species acts normally. |
