Bill: Foundation of the Working Class Militia
Details
Submitted by[?]: Marxist-Leninist Revival
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2591
Description[?]:
Every working man must be prepared to defend the workers state from external and internal enemies, and thus we propose national service as the most effective measure to ensure full militarisation of the labour force. By frequent rotation of the military, these institutions cannot develop a political character contrary to the will of the populace at large. Furthermore, in the event of a military campaign, the widest possible body of the proletariat will be trained and ready to march in defence of the revolutionary gains. |

Message | Malivia has only recently abolished forced military service. It is the belief of the government coalition that military service is not necessary for the defense of our nation, and thus, this legislation will not pass. |

Message | The inherent problem with your reformist strategy - once you become the government, you become the ruling class and adopt the same mannerisms and ideology as it. You seek self-preservation, rather than efforts to emancipate the working class. |

Message | Malivia Left proposes legislation that we believe will be for the benefit of all Malivians. You may have a different opinion to us on how this should be achieved, but we are not seeking self-preservation. We are here to improve the lives of Malivians in our way, and that is what we are doing. |

Message | It is clear to us that you see the self-regulating organisations of the proletariat as a threat to your continued priviliged position, and as such put your own demands to remain at the top of the hierarchy above the goal of abolishing the hierarchical system of government that benefits nobody except the ruling elite. |
