Bill: Health and Safety Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Self Righteous Libertarian Democrats
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2119
Description[?]:
Noting that there are no set health and safety standards for industry, it is proposed that the Government introduce a set of recommendations for industries. These recommendations will not be legally binding, but may act as a code of practice on which industries may wish to base their own policies. The recommendations will hopefully serve to introduce a uniformity of approach, but it is hoped that they will not over-regulate industry. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Health and safety legislation for industry.
Old value:: There are no set health and safety regulations for industry.
Current: Health and safety laws are to be determined by local governments.
Proposed: The government introduces and actively regulates health and safety legislation in all areas of industry.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
