Message | I have said this many times, the retirement age is more of a guideline for the retirement benefits, it doesn't mean you can't work pass that age. Now, 75 sounds like a lot of time but I'll support it anyways. |

Message | So they can retire early and they can retire late. In other words, there is no reason to vote no on this. Please vote Yes. |

Message | If they retire early, they probably won't get all the retirement benefits. If they retire late, they get all the benefits. I already voted yes for this. |

Message | I have explained to you already, no one has to retire at the retirement age. OOC: I gave you the example of the U.S.. We have a retirement age of 67.5 years. There are people on their 80s and 90s working. Oh, the best example is Ronald Reagan. By the end of his administration, he was 77 years old. Convinced now? |

Message | OOC: Btw, McCain is 73 years old and he is running for president. Shh, don't tell anyone he is that old. |

Message | The people working to there 80s and 90s work in professions that has laws that says they can work longer than the retirment age. And as far as I know there is no retirment age for US presidents. If the retirment age isent a law, whats the point of having it at all then |

Message | You are impossible boy. Just admit you are wrong and we can save ourselves sometime here. I gave the examples, you believe what you want to believe. I showed you the facts. |

Message | The retirment age is the when you have to retire. But the US dont have a set retirment age applying to every proffession. Some profession have a later retirment age than others, they all have different rules. If the retirment age was just a guidline it wouldnt have been included as a law |
Date | 20:57:58, June 22, 2008 CET | From | Lodamun Libertarian Party | To | Debating the The older the better |
Message | And there is no law that say the retirment age is 67.5, are you sure your not thinking of the average retirment age? |

Message | Look, I won't argue with you about the retirement age. I work for the 110th Congress of the United States of America, I know what I am talking about. But if you want to keep arguing, go ahead. |

Message | To make your life easier, I will quote the document: "In 2006, nearly 30% of Americans ages 65 to 69 belonged to the workforce, up from 18% in 1985, according to the Employee Benefit Research Institute. The percentage of older workers with full-time jobs is also rising, EBRI said". This is the link to the article. Satisfied now? http://www.usatoday.com/money/workplace/2007-08-30-not-retired_N.htm |
