Bill: Allied Future Platform- Tax

Details

Submitted by[?]: Allied Future

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2598

Description[?]:

The state in Sekowo takes up far too large a portion of GDP. historically, lower state as proportion of GDP means a larger overall GDP. The less money taken by the state, the more money can be in the hands of Sekowan citiizen's, the only people who really know how best to spend their own money.

Furthermore, as we are advocating lesser tax be paid by all, we feel we should be stronger on cracking down potential ways to game the tax system, such as hiding it in religious donations to "charities"

MessageWe believe that charitable donations should not be taxed, as this would likely lower the amount of charitable donations across the board (not just for religious purposes). The taxes could be looked at by the Folkstmma as a whole. We could then make a plan to lower taxes gradually and increase the wealth of Sekowans through a planned, gradual tax break program.

MessageWe support the tax measures, but we oppose discriminating against religions. Religions should be given the exact same benefits corporations get.

MessageChurches, while they do have a strong place in Society, do not contribute as much to the economy as corporations do. The Governments role is to stimulate growth of corporations and other parts of the economy, not to stimulate the growth of large rich churches. Thus churches can afford to pay higher levels of taxes than corporations. It is not a matter of discrimination, but rather doing what is best to stimulate our economy, create jobs, and help the poor. something I'm sure many religious leaders would agree with.

MessageEconomy is not the greatest good. The culture and benefit of society should be placed above the economic situation. We agree with the Normands. We cannot place a strain on churches. They should be left alone.

ToDebating the Allied Future Platform- Tax
MessageWe'd agree to the religious tax, but not the lowering of existing taxes.

ToDebating the Allied Future Platform- Tax
MessageWhile reducing taxes can be good at times, putting the country into a deficit does not make sense. So, no to the first two for the time being.

We are a religious party and are completely against taxation.
