Message | Yes, if my unit were in the field, and we captured a POW, I would treat them well, triage their wounded, feed them if they needed it, and lecture those who are able to return about the injustice of fighting against an unit which has shown them so much kindness. Then I would send them back to their unit without their weapons. Once back, they would tell their comrades about the good treatment they recieved at the hands of those who had captured them, and chances are, which was better than what they were getting in their own units. The effect would be to improve the image of the Kalistani soldier among those fighting against us, and make them less likely to see us as monsters, but more likely to think of their own leaders as the unjust ones. Morale is lowered among the adversary and fighting effectiveness is diminished, giving us not only the superiority in arms, but also moral superiority as well. It's not such a far out idea if you just think about it. This was our policy if we ever caught a prisoner when we were an insurgent unit. |
